Well shoot mom happy birthday! that is super exciting i am so glad you had a good time and also tonya. i wish you all the best i love and miss you so much! i won't lie i was planning on getting you something but i don't have money haha and hardly anytime. i will try to do something for you though! but it will have to be next week i am so happy for you and you mean the world to me! love you so much

well my week was really good we were supposed to have 4 people at sacrament meeting but we didn't :( they were bums and didn't show but the week was very good we had a member actually set up an appointment with us with one of her friends so that was great we invited her friend to be baptized and she accepted but then we found out that she wasnt' YSA age so we passed her off to the family ward ha but we had a lot of lessons with investigators that our members came out with us to so the member work is really picking up! and i am super grateful for that. i also went on two exchanges with some of the elders in my district elder burnham was first he is serving in clovis 7th ward and that went really well he is a hard worker and exactly obedient but he has a problem with teaching but over all just a really great missionary but he got his visa and went to argintina so he left today. then i exchanged with clovis 3rd ward elder wells, he actually came out the same time that i did so that was cool also he is a great missionary he doesn't talk to everyone but when we went out together we did and we found a lot of potentials for his area, there ward is really struggling we met with a family and tried to set up a mission plan for there family and the father was totally against it and did not want to do it! i was sad but they are working hard and just need the ward to pick up and help it is a slow process but they are improving which is great. i am really though trying to learn how to better help my district we have a lot of potential but i just am trying to learn what i can do better to have us all do amazing in our areas. but anyway this week was a blessing we found 4 new investigators and also taught a lot of lessons it just was a blessing and a fun story we were driving in the car one night and (this is how we do some of our finding) we saw this girl on the side of the road running so we quickly pulled over and stopped her and talked to her about the gospel and asked if we could share a message she said she didn't know so we then asked if we could get her number and shoot her a text on what she decides so the next day comes and we text her and she says she cant meet with us or anything so we got sad but i got the idea to say a prayer and i asked that she may be able to meet with us that a miracle could be preformed then after that i texted her and said well we respect that choice but if you could pray about it that would be amazing and she was like alright whatever. so a couple days passed and nothing happened then one day she texted us and said she prayed and that we could meet up sometime! so we are going to be meeting with her sometime this week! but ya it was really great but that was a bit about my week and everything just a lot of teaching and finding we went to the college and taught kids on the campus which was also fun so ya it was jsut a busy but very great week! i love you all and hope everything goes great this week!

We received a hand written letter my snail mail today.  Inside was a package of BBQ flavored larvae:

Hey Family,

Just wanted to wish you all a great week.  I love you, and to the boys...good luck in school, work hard and stand as examples at all times.  I enclosed a treat for you all and hope you like it!  Mom and Dad, you're the best, keep up all you do.  I love you so much.  Well, I am headed to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner tonight so alright, love you all.  You're always in my prayers everyday at all times!

Hello all ya'll! This is Elder Moss reporting from California Fresno..well this week has been harder but also very good. we have had to drop a lot of investigators cuz they aren't progressing which stinks but it is good cuz we literally talking  to everyone about the gospel and about becoming a mormon it is the best we are meeting a lot of people but school has started up for the YSA so we are going to just go to the collage and tackle them and get them all baptized ha nah i wish a lot of people are bigger than me so that wouldn't work out to well but we are going to be finding more cuz we have not as many investigators and need more! Brayden and Dad that is awesome you are losing weight and tracking the calories keep working out also! you are the best i should start cuz i have lost a lot of muscle which is so sad! haha i call it an increase of spirit pounds ;) and chase you gotta work out and practice sports! your awesome chase though really i am so grateful for you and brayden as my brothers continue to be an example and a blessing to all people you meet. NEVER lower your standards at any time ALWAYS set new and higher goals for your self. your both grand examples to me so thank you. i love you all.

 also this week as district leader it has been stressful haha but so awesome! i love it truly i just have no time at all i am always doing something and it is the best! training is going great as well i love elder lord he is a great missionary we get along well. this week we had a former assistant to the president with us he is going with companionships and teaching them all that he knows so he was with us and that was a blast some of the best time i have had on my mission. on sunday we had two investigators show up that we had no idea would but that was cool and president gelwix showed up also and took me out to have a lesson with a former investigator so that was super fun i just love it out here! you all better be doing missionary work also at home! but i don't know what else to talk! i love you all and pray for you everyday mom and dad you are best thank you for having me haha keep working hard, miss you all!

Dad's Thread:
Mom is applying again for the secretary job at Snow Canyon High.  She would really like this job and if she got it would not want to move up North if I got a job up there.  Anyway, the moral of the story is to keep praying for us so we will know what to do and will be blessed in this area.   We really feel blessed so far as we are still making enough money to do what we need to do.  Chase doesn't want to move as he is now in High School and popular being on the exec council.  Brayden ended up getting into football and when they weighed him in he topped at 201 lbs.  Can you believe that, 11 years old and 201.  Anyway, we had a talk and he and I are keeping track of calories and trying to eat healthier.  On Friday he asked Chase and I to ride bikes with him to Tuacahn and back.  He is doing so well with it so far and wants to get in shape.  The Hafen reunion is coming up in a couple of weeks, over labor day weekend.  Mom won't be able to go as she works evenings, this is another stress as she is off in the morning when I am home and I am in the evenings when she is at work.  Your mom's birthday is this Saturday.  She got it off so we are going to go out as a family and do our traditional birthday dinner where she gets to pick.  Our garden is doing good, every week we get a bunch of vegetables and fruit too since we are taking care of grandpa Moss's garden too.  We are eating a lot of salsa with all the tomatoes and jalepenos we have.  Love you ton's.  Can't wait to hear about your week and how training and being senior campanion and district leader is.  Bishop Hurt said he is going to write a letter to all missionaries quarterly and asked for our input yesterday at church so mom wrote something this morning to him.

haha ya mom thats my snack it is super cheep i just go out side and get worms then put bbq sauce on them ;) ha i thought you all would like that. i am great super busy with all my responsibilities but it is good i just got to get use to it all. i loved your voice message it was great

K you should have seen me look at your "snack", once I finally figured out it was real worms I sure am not going to touch it.  Dad said, Oh, good a healthy snack for Brayden it is only 9 calories".  I will certainly NOT let him try it.  Hey, I need to know your address.  I want to go onto google map and see where it is.  

i don't know what the address is but it is on the corner of gettysburg and peach its an appartment complex called maroit manor? idk how to spell it but ya and you gotta eat some of the worms!!

That is good enough on the address.  Dad is begging me to try to eat some worms...  I said yeah right.  Have you eaten some of those types of worms?

I am glad you are working hard, but you know as a mom I worry about you working hard.  I know the Lord will bless you in all that you do and the more you put into your mission the more you will get out of your mission.

Is their a favorite restaurant that you and your companion like to go to? 

ya i have eaten those worms mom! you gotta eat some! and a favorite resturant? um idk i dont think so no. and please don't worry about spending money or sending it to me anything like that for us please we are doing just great and fine. the only thing i ask is when i email you things i need if you could send them to me haha but other than that you are already doing everything for me your prayers and examples of what you are doing at home is plenty thanks so much!

I haven't had a chance to order you your garments, but it is on my list to do today.  I forgot the size you wear.  I need the size. Dri Lux top and Cotton bottoms, right?  Also what is Elder Lord's first name?

hey yall how are ya?!

Hey Davey,  This is Mom.  How are you doing?  Did you get our voicemail?

yup i did! loved it

Oh Good! I thought we would do this once a week to just say a few words to you. We had fun doing it.  It was funny that Chase had a hard time thinking of things to say.  He has had a lot of things going on with the student body and i think he has had a lot of fun.  

Braydent is so excited for school. Dad gave them fathers blessings yesterday.  He said some really cool things in their blessings.

Katelynn is finally getting settled up north and trying to get her classroom organized.  We have been praying for Jeff to be able to get a job in Orem, one that will make it able for him to go to school.

I have applied for a Secretary job at SCHS.  I don't know if I will get it but I've asked everyone to pray that if it be Heavenly Fathers will that I will get the job.

Things are going good with life in general.  I can always find the joy and peace that I need each day.  I feel so blessed to have such good children and they are doing what is right.

I got to see the new temple movie.  It is so good.  I loved it!!!  I hope you will get the chance to see it.

How has your week been.  I have been praying that you will find the joy in your mission and find those people that want to hear the gospel. 

your prayers have been heard we found and taught so much this past week thank you so much!  we should be getting to go to the temple this transfer so i am excited to see the new movie! 

hey so i got the voice recorder it was awesome! thanks so much! and dang so much ice cream! i would eat it up if i were there! and you are going to be surprised i am not a picky eater anymore with anything so that sounded way good what brayden made except with my hamburgers i am still picky haha 

but anyway this week was very good we did a lot we had our quad zone activity last monday so we went to that and played rugby and basketball so that was a lot of fun i really enjoyed it. transfer calls were also this past saturday so this wednesday is transfers for us. i will be staying with elder lord cuz i am still training him but i did get called to be a district leader so now as of this wedsday i will be a district leader there are 4 areas total in my district so this should be great for me! haha  but the mission is great i love it here in fresno so much we are getting a lot of investigators and the ward is slowly but still progressing, we are teaching this Hmong kid named upain that is 20 and it is so sweet i love him so much but he knows absolutely nothing about christ or god so it has been so awesome to teach him and hear him pray for the first time. also we have another investigator nick that has been frustrating he wont come to church but yesterday we gave him a church tour so it is a slow progression but he is going to be baptized i can feel it haha. but ya we have had a great week been teaching a lot of people and getting members to come out with us it has been one of the best weeks since i have been here in the academy ward so ya but just living the missionary life is about all i am doing all day every day ha so i cant think of any experiences right now but next week i will for sure have some! i love you

We posted Davey's first P-day in Fresno, then second week in Fresno, etc. week by week.  It was pointed out that he has been out longer than the number of weeks we show on his blog.  This was because he was in the MTC a couple of weeks and we didn't start that until he was in the field.  Also, he started in the MTC on a Wednesday and flew into Fresno on a Wednesday so it was confusing.  Anyway, we are just going to put the date of his letter/email/ update instead of weeks from now on, everyone knows he will done in February 2015.

haha ya i know! the picures looked good you and mom looked good have you been losing wieght?! or did you just suck it all in! ;)  week has been great and yup i did i loved it so much! how are you mom>?

Mom just went to pick up Chase from a leadership meeting he had with the exec council at the high school this morning. Not losing weight but need to.  Thanks.  How about you...how is the weight?

i don't want to talk about my weight i am on the errand of the lord i don't need to be worring about my body even though it has gone down the drain...haha i am glad i wear garments cuz i would hate looking at myself with my shirt off now ha just to let you know i am going into exile for 2 months when i get home and just working how hard core haha ;)

You are so funny!  We can't tell anything from your pictures.   So about the baptisms - who are they.  And what about the others you say you have?

well we have nick adrian brian but they aren't super solid so we just got to keep working with them they just need to come to church!

So, these are the ones that you say may be baptized?  How about the one on the 30th.

ya he is our only one this month with a date but there shall be more! we have a lot that have dates but we have to push them back cuz they don't come to church the bums. but what has been happening at home besides the past wedding, what all has happened?

i love you all so much and i miss you keep choosing the right and stand strong in all places! dont give into temptation ever blessing await all of you just don't think for one second that you can do something that is wrong don't allow you to even let that thought enter the mind stay worthy and make righteous friends. stand for what is right and true. that is my prayer i love you all and i know you will do it and share the gospel! hasten the work of salvation you are member missionaries share the gospel give out pass along cards anything! don't give any excuses cuz i have heard them all you all share the gospel and widen your circle of influence you will feel the atonement more in your life as you share the gospel. i love you all and have a great week i am going to play some rugby now! love you your the best family truely now keep growing and pushing for more excellence becoming more better.

Mom is back now and we are both here as well as the boys.  Dad had a friend on facebook that he knew in Texas, a girl that left on her mission from the ward he was serving in, say she was in Orem (the friended each other on facebook several years ago) and he saw it while we were up there and we went to breakfast with her and her daughter who she is dropping off to college.  She is coming down to go to Tuacahn this week as we offered her some tickets and she accepted.  It was way cool seeing a member from the mission so long ago.

dang that is way cool and way good president hinkley always did say what the 3 things every new member needs! and he told us missionaries to keep in contact with our investigators!

oh gotcha then.  alrighty so my week has been good way good some might even say great! well anyway some of the high lights was last week we had trainer trainee meeting which was way good we learned a lot and i change little things in my life especially as a missionary to become better. then we have been throwing down on our members to do missionary work so we actually had a lesson in a members home with a former investigator that they invited over this past week which went good the spirit was strong but she ignored it and so that was sad. then we have been going to see some less active members and helping them out and showing them how they need to come back to church it stinks when the person is a returned missionary and they go less active im just like shoot what did you do on your mission aghhh! it is way frustrating haha then we of coarse went tracking which we went for a very long time and just found families for other missionaries to teach so it was good but at the same time we are running low on investigators. but of coarse we do have some great investigators that are going to be baptized which is good one on the 30th of this month and hopfully others before that. but everything here is great i love being a missionary and serving the lord this last saturday we had president gelwix come out with us to 2 appointments that we had and he also took us out to eat at dog house grill which is a place that has the best tri tip steak sandwhich! but he came out with us and the lessons were great i loved it ha elder lord and i didn't say anything the second appointment cuz president just went off and was amazing haha it was a great night. he said some really good things about me and how i teach and everything which i loved and he expects great things from me. but  today for preparation day we are going to be having a great day we have a quad zone activity where president gelwix is coming and we are having a rugby tournament between zones! haha it is going to be awesome! i love you all wish you were here playin or watching! i love you all and hope you have a great week! You know what i love about being a missionary is the super tough hard days when all your appointments you had set up and thought were for sure solid but all fall through throughout the week and then flat tires on your bike in the front and then you fix it then the back tire the same day blows out and then you get yelled at and unkind words are thrown at you and different objects are just missing you like unto Samuel the Lamanite when he was crying repentance on the wall and the people were throwing things at him but nothing did ever hit him that's what my mission has felt like and i love it and rejection isn't the worst thing that can happen but a ton of it gets you to question at times if there is someone else out there in my area that need the message that i've been blessed with and the quick re-assurance from the spirit says" yes there is and don't you give up on them don't you dare you are the missionary they need please don't let them wait, go find them" then my immediate reaction is not always okay lets do it but more than usual is a prayer in my heart asking the Lord for forgiveness for my unbelief then the forgiveness settles into my soul and every fiber of my human being then i gain strength to knock yet another door and there the individual/family await who the Lord prepared that would listen to what i have to offer them, a gift from the Father and the Son and the Spirit "The Gospel" they are filled as they accept it all into there lives and begin there process of becoming a follower of Jesus Christ.

July 29, week 21

hey all of you how was the wedding?!

You should have received an email from me check that out I kind of detailed our week and weekend

oh ok sounds good so how are you doing?

We are doing really well. Mom has gone to work today. I just arrived at janna and jeffs for our hamburger and hot dog barbeque. How has your week been? Did you wear the tire on saturday? Did you take a picture of a? Mom would love to see that!

it was too flashy i couldn't wear it. but i did take a picture with it on! the wedding sounded like it was awesome! i am so grateful for the oppertunity to hear that thanks so much i miss you all! i am going to write a long week letter to you but i have to write president first so one sec.

Alrighty so this past week has been great it has been hard but very fun. two investigators came to church one of which said she didn't feel comfortable (probably cuz she is sinning a lot) but we are going to drop her cuz she isn't progressing after all. for preparation day the Burnett family took us minuiture golfing which was way fun but i came in 3rd place so that stunk we also played a lot of basketball as usual ha then that night we had a lesson with a member present with two investigators  which was powerful! i don't like driving everywhere so i told my trainee that we are going to start biking a lot more which has been good we are finding more people but of coarse people are also very prideful and dillweeds but oh well. and it was funny when we stoped at the corner a guy drove up and handed us a not very good magazine that we threw away for him i think he just didn't have a garbage in his car so we helped him and took care of it for him! we contacted a baptist preacher which i started to bash with which isn't good so ya that didn't end well...for him..haha then we met with a girl at at the mall and had a lesson with her but as we were talking to her a bunch of other people just kept interrupting and bashing with us and asking us very graphic not good questions but ya that didn't end very well so ya but it was a learning experience! then i went on an exchange with elder fisi'ihoi and that was aweosome we did work and just invited people to be baptized and it was a lot of fun so idk if you heard or not but we have to get rid of backpacks and use man purses or shachels so i went and  bought that today so ya that was my week in a very brief over view. i have attached the pictures of me in the tie for katelynn's wedding! love you all!

July 22, week 20

MOM:
alrighty these are two pictures of my companion and i haha well anyway  this is my week this past week so we have been working hard. we have a recent convert that is almost hitting his year mark of being a member and so he has been meeting with us to prepare to get the Melchizedek priesthood his name is joshua quezada he goes by juice haha he is the starting running back for fresno state football he used to play football at BYU but he moved here with his family. he is super awesome. we also had a lesson with an investigator named jesus he knows the BOM is true and he promised us that he would come to church but he didn't so we are going to have to drop him cuz he isnt keeping commitments which stinks cuz he knows it is true! we also found this black girl named sade (shotty) and long story short we are trying to discern if she is accountable or not but ya. haha so ya we also have been challenging a lot of members to do more missionary work! our members are being BUMS! it is super frustrating. also this week we had a church tour with a member who invited 4 of his friends he is a ward missionary so he has his head on straight but it was super powerful the spirit was so strong and one of them even showed up to church the following sunday so that was way cool to see. that member that went with us has been on over 7 church tours but he said that this one was different and the most powerful he has ever felt. then we had a team up with a member and we went out tracting and ran into these black people haha our member was awesome he didn't talk at all until i told him that he was going to ask them to be baptized right out of the blue ha so i made him do that and it was awesome he did it and they said no hahahaha but then later we kept talking and they said they would if they came to know it was true so it wasn't all bad but i loved how i just told him to do it and he did. and then we met with a kid named brian and that was a great lesson we invited him to be baptized and he accepted and we set up a date with him and he is just super prepared. he said our religion he looks up to the most because of the examples he has seen so there ya go people every where are looking at us and trying to find fault and things to tare us down but we must be that great example and live as jesus christ would live if he were here. the second coming is right at our door we had an apostle come elder parry and he gave an apostolic promise that the second coming would happen and that it is real he also said that us as a church as a whole are not ready for it. we are not as righteous as we should be and we are not sharing the gospel like we as members need to be doing everyday. but ya my week was good i love elder lord he is great he still needs to work on talking simply and not stuttering but i love him! i love you all too and for katelynn in preparing to enter the temple read moses chapters 1-5 this is an account of moses receiving his endowment and also in exodus chapters 28-29 this is where it talks about the temple clothing so these things help you prepare for the temple! i love you all and wish you the best week i am proud of you all and hope you are all gaining in faith and testimony each day and living worthy all the time i love you. i havent gotten a package yet but i got the letter from mom and the wedding announcment! 

Oh this is mom, I sent you a package that they promised it would be there by Saturday, so I figures you would get it by today. It has something in it that I want you to wear on Saturday so you will fill you are apart of the wedding. Can you check the mission home? I sent it there.

Wedding is this Saturday. Try to go if you can. Katelynn is now with us and jeff. It is so wonderful to see her so happy. I love to hear from you and you are doing so good. 
Work had been good it is hard to believe that we have only 3 weeks until school. Life seems to get so more and more busy. Chase finished drivers ed and has started to drive. Don't tell him but he really scares me when he drives. He is getting better, though.

haha remember when i started you said i scared you too when i drove! what car is he driving? i doubt he knows how to work stick shift! haha 

Oh I know! !   You were the worst, haha. It is always hard to drive at first. I'm getting my hair done with Tonya. She says hi and thank you for the letter. This is such a girl time getting my hair done together we get caught up every 3 to 4 months, it is lots of fun haha. (I have to cover the grays) ;)

Good.  It is really really good to hear from you.  I wish we could chat more often.  Grandma and Grandpa can text whenever.  They are flying back for the wedding.  They arrived yesterday in Fargo.

I ran into Jay Day the other day and he said you send him stuff every week and he really likes hearing from all the missionaries that are writing him.

July 15, Week 19

DAD:
Ok.  So, you had a baptism this week?

yup we did! ha it was great!

So tell me about it.  Now that you have had a new companion for a week or so...how is that going?

everything is great i love him and we get along super well this last week has been kind of tough but it was still great we talked to a lot of people and set some dates for baptism but they weren't with YSA age kids haha oh well we still are struggling with the ward they don't wanna do missionary work but they are picking up fortunately so yup we also had a leadership training and went on two exchanges which was fun just a crazy but i learned so much. i am growing so much i love it out here it is still hot and humid ha so yup how are you all doing?

Awesome.  Good to hear you and the comp are getting along well.  How is it being a trainer and senior companion.  I am glad to hear you are growing and doing well.  We are too.  It is busy with trying to get ready for this wedding and working.  We are going to SLC tomorrow for Katelynns shower.  We had one here last week but not many people came.  I am teaching the priests and laurel class for sunday school.  I have jocelyn, lauren, bk, jace, bryce, etc.  Bryce got his mission call to Germany and leaves in November.  BK baptized the down syndrome girl, Jenny McClellen, last week which was pretty cool.  The sister missionaries taught her and BK dunked her.  Looks like that is what happened with your baptism...member friend?

yup that is what happened with us! and that is crazy about the wedding sorry not many people showed i pray for you all everyday i love and miss you how are other things around the house and with the family like the boys. and being a trainer and senior companion is great i have been learning a lot i love it it is extra work but i only got two years so i gotta do it my hardest! i am also designated driver which isn't so fun haha i don't like driving all the time!

ha my week has been great! kinda hard but good!  we are still trying to find new people to teach but what about you and the fam?

Dang It is good you are so busy, but I was hopping I could visit.  That is okay... the Lord should always come first.  Love you and I am glad you love your companion.

Hey just something fun to let you know about . chase is at the high school doing drivers ed. tonight tomorrow he will be doing the simulator. I think he is a little nervous I know I am nervous when he drives. it is hard to believe that I have one child left to drive, I must be getting old haha. I will try to remember to get Chris's email address for you . I'm excited to go up north to go to a bridal shower for katelynn with my family. it is hard to believe that we have two weeks left until she is married. she will be going through the temple to get her in down next Tuesday it is a wonderful feeling to know that my children are choosing the right and are worthy to go to the temple. I don't worry too much about you anymore only when I hear that you have a rest day or rough week are you don't get along with your companion. So it makes me really happy to know that you finally have a companion that you truly love and get along with. I was told that the young women's presidency will be released in a couple of weeks, which means I will be releases. I will miss the young women that I have associated with .

Week 17 and 18

Davey sent a lot of photos and a video and it took quite awhile to download them all so we didn't get week 17 posted last week.  As such, we posted last week and this week together again.

Week 18:

We just all gathered round and were watching and making comments on you, we laughed when certain things came up.  You and Fiahoi (I don't know how you spell it) were definetley the most funny.

OK, we'll put it with your stuff.  We got a new bishopric yesterday.  Paul Hurt is Bishop, Robert Ence 1st Counselor, and Glen Kelsch is 2nd counselor

So i got my new companion his name is Elder Derek Lord he is from bountiful utah and has a track scholarship to BYU! he is 6'2'' and just awesome he is like my brother and he is so handsome he is only 18 years old and just awesome i love him so much it is kinda frustrating correcting him on worldly things at times though but it is good. we are growing so much together and like you know we have a baptism this coming saturday! i hope all is well back at home i thank you all for all your prayers i can really feel them and i thank you so much for them! so everything has been going good this week we have had a lot of meetings all day because of me being a trainer i went to the temple on wednesday and received a lot of information and revalation for my trainee. then on thursday we got assigned them and it was way cool i picked him out before i was assigned to him. and then of course the 4th of july was good! we arent allowed to drive or walk or bike past 6pm so we had members take us and so my companions first day he went to a members home and they do something pretty funny they smashed his face into some cupcakes and whip cream haha then we went to an investigators house which he has some crazy fireworks his family is super rich so they spent over 600 dollars on fireworks and they were way good! ha but ya that was my week!

Well congratulations...Trainer!  Elder Lord sounds like he is more your style than the other two.  You now set the tone for the rest of his mission.  What you teach and model for him is what he will do.  It is a big responsibility but one that you are up to I know; your president knows also or he wouldn't have picked you for that awesome responsibility.  Just remember to always stay busy on the Lord's errand.  Doesn't mean you can't have fun and can't take a day (P-Day) to rest from being busy, but stay busy and you will be blessed.

I get to finally email you after a bit. Sorry for no being better at this lately, been kinda busy lol! Like mom said, I just bought my wedding dress! I have less than 3 weeks and Im getting hitched! Im excited! I am also receiving my endowments in 2 weeks! Cant wait for that! Already have my recommend and just waiting! Wish you could be here, but Im glad youre on your mission! So it is an okay thing! Anyway, thats all! For now! Love ya lots baby brother!

that is so cool and hey when you go through the temple and it gets to the point that since your getting your own endowments out then when tell you to do some crazy stuff just dont freak out and go along with it. ;) haha just playing love ya sis! i am happy for you!

ha ya i am still in the united states so the food is great and that is so good that you are reading your scriptures i just finished the BOM again a couple days ago it is so awesome i love it! i am doing great on my mission keep it up and keep working hard!

Doing really good. Katelynn and I just got done buying her wedding dress.  It is so wonderful to know that I have such good kids, one who will be married in the temple and one who is serving his Lord and my other two kids at home are doing everything that they are supposed to be doing (reading their scriptures and saying their prayers).  I love how dad does scripture study, we each take turns reading about what we were reading in our personal scripture study.  Brayden's turn was yesterday and he taught us about what he learned in primary.  He was so excited to learn about how there are 3 kingdoms - he really got it!  It was so cool.  

It is so wonderful that you have a companion you get along with!!!  This makes me feel really good that my boy is happy!!!

haha i have learned so much stuff about the gospel and i cant wait to share with you all all about my knowledge and everything i have learned it is crazy i love it so much and it sounds like you are having fun. i love you mom and really thank you for all you do your the best example to me.

Week 17:

so somethign that happened this week! i cast out an evil spirit out of my companion the other day haha that was scary but such a testimony builder! and i made a missionary video for some youth fire side in New Zeland! that was so much fun to do, youll have to check it out on you tube! everything is great i will be training this coming transfer so i get a fresh new companion right out of the MTC! i love you  hope all is well i pray for everyone everyday love elder moss church is true!

We didn't receive anything on the video so that we could watch it.  I searched on YouTube and couldn't find one relating to New Zeland and Fresno missionaries.  

Did you tell your mission president about the evil spirit?  That sounds serious.

Congrats on becoming a trainer, we will be praying extra hard for you so you can know what to do to teach, inspire, and make an impact on your greenie.

ya it wasn't from me it was from a family so it won't be from me but from a different family. and idk what else to tell you about it ha it was crazy! but i cast it out in the name of jesus christ and by the priesthood 

What was he doing?  How did you know it was an evil spirit?  What did he say after?

he was shaking uncontrollable and saying real soft help there is something in me and you just know i cant explain it and after he stood up and threw up all this nasty stuff and stopped shaking and said thank you to me.

Ill let her know.  She sent you an email yesterday and you didn't reply to it but to mine and Chases and Brayden's and she commented that you didn't reply to her.

How hot has it been there.  We saw that it looked like about 110 degrees, aren't you glad you're in a car?  We have been 115 degrees for the last few days.  We are breaking records for June  as it usually doesn't get that hot till the end of July.

ya sorry i didn't reply how is everything are you getting the photos i am sending?!  and ya it is hot but i am used to it it gets triple digits everyday 

yep the photos are coming in.  This is mom I kicked dad off ;)  The photos look great, you must of had a fun time.

I am glad you get to go and have fun on your P-days.  Why are you able to write today?  We are just trying to get everything done for the wedding.  We are planning what we are going to be doing on the 4th.  What are your plans?

becasue yesterday we couldn't so we are today. and we are going to members homes and an investigators house!

You said you were having a baptism, how is that investigator coming?

Grandma and Grandpa had a fire at their house yesterday.  It is so hot that Grandpa was cooking a steak and normally the garage doesn't get too hot but it did and caught fire where he has his BBQ.  Two fire trucks came.  Grandpa was able to get it out before they arrived so it wasn't too bad.

Their address is 2900 24th st. So. #1140, Fargo ND 58104.  Their email is david.moss@myldsmail.net and Janiel.moss@myldsmail.net.  They go in on July 8th and will be in the MTC for 10 days then drive to Fargo.

That is awesome, so next week you'll be having a baptism! We haven't actually seen the fire.  I'm sure is isn't to bad. The family is doing great!  Chase is really liked at Tuacahn and is a hard worker.  Brayden is still growing, he started reading his scriptures at night.  It is so wonderful to have your children growing in the gospel.  We haven't decided what 4th of July activity we will do.  We thought fishing in the morning and then go to Lins for their breakfast. Maybe later that day the boys and dad will have a barbaque (I have to work). Then fireworks at Coombs.  Do you have any plans for the 4th of July?

yup we will! that is so good to hear about chase and brayden and that sounds like a lot of fun for the 4th sorry you have to work that stinks but your amazing mom for doing that i always have looked up to you and all you do. and for the 4th of july i get my new companion who is going to be my trainee then we will be in a meeting all day then we will head to a members home for food then to an investigators house alec's the one who is getting baptized for fireworks and on the 4th we get to stay out till 10pm so that is kinda cool!

So, your comp will be gone for the baptism huh?  Is he bummed about that?  Transfers are that soon huh?  So, your comp is leaving on the 4th and you're getting a greenie.  Why do you know so soon?  I am so excited for you!

ya he will be and he is super bummed! adn my compaion leaves on the 3rd i so that day i am going to be at the temple all day with all the other trainers so that is super cool. we have 17 missionaries leaving this transfer and 34 coming into the mission. 

Oh how very cool.  I am so excited for you.  I have to go to work now.  I have to be there at 1pm.  I love you.  Thank you for your example.
